Crowded, full of trash. This is obviously a trail for people who don't really hike or enjoy nature all that much. Full review by rosielady13

If you want a challenge and see beautiful views, hike up the canyon and take the fire road all the way to the flats. There is a small museum up there and if it’s clear the view is wonderful. i have g… Full review by KenPa24

Really enjoyed our walk to the falls today. Not really hard work, a free rivers to cross with a beautiful waterfall at the end. Peaceful and not hard. Definitely recommended! Full review by vanessapE3548ZC

is there a campsite nearby
A:
There are camp sites if you hike to the top, not sure how many, they are part of an area I think called henninger flat

Hi we just went after the rains. Your feet will be drenched and sometimes the water was knee high during at least half a dozen creek crossings

How many miles from the parking area to the falls?
A:
I never measured the distance, but knew it was a lot of uphill and took 45 min or more.

Is this an appropriate hike for a 2 and 4 year old?
A:
I took my grandson up when he was 4. I carried him on my shoulders most of the way up. It is a very long and steep climb. And don't forget to bring water.

They open at 9am? Isnt that a little late?
A:
No... that might be the Visitor's Center and parking lot. There are several access points to the trails that are always open. One is at Midwick and Altadena Drive another is off Cresent.
