This theater was really beautiful. It's located very close to a UTA stop, so transport was easy. The theater itself is stunning, and we really enjoyed the show we saw. Full review by AdventuresofNomNom

On vacation in SLC and dropped in for a Kansas concert. Seating went smoothly, beverages are reasonably priced, concert was great and the sound was great. What more can you ask for? Full review by Dana O

We went to see the live performance of Hamilton. Instead of a live orchestra there as a very poor recording played on the right speakers in mono format, like an AM radio. It was very difficult to hea… Full review by PaulSEA1

Yes, the Eccles Theater is right downtown. I would suggest a few. A favorite is Fireside on Regent which is nearly attached to the theater. It is on Regent Street which is one street north of Main Street and adjacent to the theater's back entrance. This is a sit down restaurant with homemade pasta, amazing macaroni and cheese, great pizza, and more. I would give yourself an hour prior to the show or a little bit more. If you want a more casual place, there is a hot chicken place behind the theater on Regent Street. It is called, "Pretty Bird Chicken." There aren't too many places to sit so only go here if you don't have much time. It is from one of the owners of Forage - our old favorite restaurant in SLC. There are a few new restaurants that have been opened on Regent Street that I haven't been to. One is called, "Honest Eatery," and it looks to be fast casual. I think another one is "Tumeric Indian Cuisine." A place around the corner is Martine that has great Tapas. And you can always go across the street to The Cheesecake Factory or to Brio. You should be safe at any of these if you make a reservation 90 minutes prior to the start of the show. Enjoy!
Q:
Where were you able to park? My wife and I are going tomorrow.
A:
There is a parking garage off of 100S and Regent Street that is behind the theater. Hope that helps.

How are the acoustics in the venue? I purchased tickets for a concert an couldn't choose my seat at the time but am able to exchange them. The seats I got were up front in the orchestra seating row 9 but all the way on the side isle close to the first exit door. How are the acoustics in this up front but way side area? Would it be worth sitting much further back but more center? For the cost of the tickets and it being my favorite artist I wanna to get the best experience possible! Thanks for your input!

We sat furter back and in the center and the acoustics were great. The acoustics throughout the theater are excellent according to several people I know that have gone to different kinds of performances. It's not a huge theater so I think you'll be good on the aisle. Have fun and enjoy your concert.
