Yes. Well, back in April 2019 one could. Honestly, the free walk along the wall is better than the fort anyway, and on that free walk everyone brings their dogs.

Hi sand glike, you can certainly get to some of the wall, but to get to the central area where the wall parts and shapes where rooms and houses were, you will have to pay and go …

Hi sand glike, you can certainly get to some of the wall, but to get to the central area where the wall parts and shapes where rooms and houses were, you will have to pay and go through the museum to get to the back , although you can just walk it from gilsland and see the wall on the main road from the roman fort entrance,, I recommend you go in lots to see and know good luck
