Questions & answers

Q:
Is it suitable for adults? I am afraid that participating children will make the experience too childish
A:
No, I would not take children.
Q:
Any group discount
A:
Check the website. It's a great value for the money without a discount. Dinner and drinks were included with the late afternoon session.

Follow up. I have been advised that the plant was just an 11th person. Sorry that ATS blamed us for "not bonding" by someone who was not there. More accurately three people took over and the rest of us were shut out of the clues except for a couple of actors skits. We constantly asked each other what was going on and no one knew. It is an interesting idea but our group was poorly organized and way too many people and too few clues. Instead of handing one person the written clues how about multiple copies or smaller groups. And developing some way to prevent one guy or three people from hijacking the show. Poor execution. we never got what we paid for and ATS refuses to respond to our request for a refund 3 X $80.

Terri. I agree it should be a fun experience and mostly good reviews. We were really looking forward to the adventure with our granddaughter to celebrate a special event but ended up waisting $240 and an entire day miserably running from place to place. What a disappointment. There are a small percent of other unhappy reviews but most are good. Seems to me like the odds of Russian Roulette. We ended up stuck in the middle of Houston Street on the median when the light changed and that was the end for us as the Plant was the only one who knew where we were going. They were very fast walkers as are we but we had to wait for the long light to change. We couldn't see which way they went in the crowds and so we just kept walking util we hit the west side highway. Upsetting after walking so many miles over three hours with no conclusion or explanation of what took place. Then we took a cab home. There are ways to prevent that from happening and perhaps they will fix that in the future. Great concept though.

We did the downtown version with our just turned 15 year old daughter and her 15 year old cousin. It would definitely be PG if it were a movie. We went into one bar and the girls were allowed to simply order soda. If your 11 year old is on more on the mature side absolutely do. They have a 6-12 year old kids version that we did when my daughter was 9 turning 10. (They have a different show now so I can't speak to the exact show just the experience). The children' version we attended was in the Museum of Natural History and we went with one child and four adults. We all enjoyed it so that might be an option as well.
Q:
Do you need a car?
A:
No car necessary. You'll be walking a lot of the time with some strategically placed stops, so it's not strenuous, and you'll get to see some areas you might otherwise miss.
