We drove out to Housesteads Roman Fort & Hadrian’s Wall, as there appeared to be more to see and do for our young daughter, rather than just a wall. It’s a bit of a walk up the hill from the carpark … Full review by senorita08

We visited Chesters Fort in 2022 and decided to go to Housesteads this time to see different scenery, etc. The museum at Chesters is better and larger, but the views and visualisations from Housestea… Full review by nessief

Fascinating ruins that you can walk around and learn the history of Roman occupation.. Probably a 1km easy walk from the car park - does include hills but easy to walk. There is a cafe and toilets… Full review by Temac1970
