I'm thinking about going to a ballet in the evening but as I'm travelling alone I'd feel safer to get a taxi back to my hotel near the Arc De Triomf in El born. Are taxis available outside after the performance & are they easy to get? Thanks!

Yes, you will have to cross La Rambla and maybe walk about a half a block east and you will be able to get a taxi fairly quickly.
Is it possible to buy opera performance tickets on the day of a performance? And if so, are they any cheaper? I would love to see an opera here, but the ticket prices I can afford all have 5% or less visibility!

I bought my ticket on the day of the performance. It was a side box seat, but I could see almost the whole stage. I don't remember how much it was, but it wasn't outrageous & there was a deal that all tickets were the same price. There were no international stars in the cast, so maybe that made a difference in availability & price - but the performance was very good.
