We have a 1 day trip planned to this area, including Timberline Lodge and waterfalls. How bad are the roads for motion sickness? We have 2 kids (9 and 7) that tend to get sick. I plan on using Dramamine. Any experience from other travelers or families? Thank you!

There is a ski resort lodge at the top area where parts of The Shining movie were filmed. Very historic, interesting place. Visited it last summer when we stayed in Hood River

The actual mountain? It is a long day trip from Hood River. There is a great ranger site south of the town that gives lots of info. There are not many places to eat sobpack food and drinks. It is very much a make your own fun place, hiking and walking. Timberline Lodge is a must but gets very busy for lunch. We were stunned by the scenery but we are old fogeys, not sure how long a 9 year old can sit and coo st scenery, no matter howcamazing
