Nearly a week after deadly floods struck Central Texas, search and rescue teams are continuing to probe debris for those still missing.

Gary and DeeAnn Knetsch were camping directly next to the Guadalupe River with their son, Jake Moeller, his wife, Megan and their five-year-old daughter, Harley. Gary, DeeAnn, Jake and Megan all lost their lives. Harley is still among the missing. Both families lived in Canyon Lake but have ties to the Houston and Mont Belvieu areas.

On July 10, 2025, CBS News confirmed that over 170 people were missing at that time. Sadly, the number of casualties is surging, too. On Friday, X user Molly Ploofkins (@Mollyploofkins) shared an image of a vehicle stuck under the debris of the Texas flood.

Thousands of responders from multiple states and Mexico spent another day scouring river banks in central Texas in search of flood victims. No new survivors have been found this week and families are coping with enormous losses.
