Following sweeping leaks of Assassin's Creed's Animus Hub, Ubisoft has provided additional clarification about how everything will work. In a post shared on Reddit, Ubisoft revealed that all rewards for the Animus Hub will be entirely free and that there will be no paid "Battle Passes.

Ubisoft has made a definitive statement about Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Animus Hub. In a post on the assassinscreed subreddit, Community Manager Ubi_Waldo shared this statement:

Assassin's Creed Shadows will launch alongside the Animus Hub. You might remember Animus as Assassin's Creed Infinity, that thing we all didn't really know anything about. Essentially, it's a hub to launch your new and old Assassin's Creed games.
