Navratilova was the last woman to win the first set of a Wimbledon final 6-0, doing so in 1983. Anisimova never regained the momentum seized early in her semifinals match with Aryna Sabalenka and was bothered by nerves early, dropping the first service game of the match to quickly fall behind after making three unforced errors.

American star Amanda Anisimova and four-time French Open champion Iga Świątek each competed in their first Wimbledon final for their first major title on grass, and Świątek came on top in a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory at the All England Club on Sunday. It’s the first time a losing player has failed to win a game in the women’s final since 1988.
