Center fielder Byron Buxton is in his 11th major-league season as a member of the Minnesota Twins. The 31-year-old star was selected second overall in the 2012 MLB Draft and made his debut in 2015 at age 21.

Twins All-Star Byron Buxton left Wednesday's game against the Cubs with a left hand contusion after being hit by a pitch.

Buxton led off the bottom of the first inning when he was hit, although the play was initially ruled a foul ball. Minnesota challenged the call and it was overturned after video review showed the ball hitting a pad on the top of Buxton’s hand.
