A Chicago man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting a 36-year-old man in East Garfield Park on July 3.

At least 11 people were wounded in separate shootings during the July 4th weekend in Chicago, police said. The first incident was reported at approximately 11:11 p.m. Friday in the 4800 block of South Justine in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. In that shooting, two suspects approached a crowd of people and opened fire, police said.
