The sky may be clear in Portland, but the temperatures remain low, leading the National Weather Service to issue another cold weather advisory Wednesday afternoon. The “cold weather advisory” is a new type of advisory for the National Weather Service,

“Temperatures will continue to slowly rise through the single digits and teens today. Therefore, the cold weather advisory will expire at 10 a.m. this morning,” states the National Weather Service.

On Wednesday at 12:23 a.m. an updated cold weather advisory was issued by the NWS Wilmington NC. The advisory is for Inland Pender, Coastal Pender, Inland New Hanover, Coastal New Hanover, Inland Brunswick and Coastal Brunswick as well as Robeson,
