Michael Strahan posted a video addressing the controversy he caused by not having his hand over his heart during the national anthem. He also discusses incident with reporter.

"The only statement that should be made and that I want to make is that I love the military, I’ve always loved the military, and I will always love the military," he said in a social media post.

Though Strahan wasn't in strict adherence to the U.S. Flag Code, he presented himself as a respectful American citizen in every other way.
