Jimmy Butler III was ruled out for the remainder of the game after taking a hard fall late in the first quarter. The Warriors said Butler suffered a pelvic contusion after he landed on his tailbone when his legs were taken out from under him while attempting to grab a defensive rebound.

Golden State Warriors small forward Jimmy Butler III is out for the rest of Game 2 against the Houston Rockets Wednesday night with a pelvic contusion. Butler will undergo an MRI on Thursday. Butler's injury stemmed from a hard fall he took with just over two minutes remaining in the first quarter.

In their play-in win against the Memphis Grizzlies to secure the seventh seed in the West, Butler tallied 38 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Then in Game 1 of their playoff series against the Houston Rockets, he dropped 25 points, seven boards, six dimes and five steals in a 95-85 win.
