Over the weekend, the long-running L.A. country-rock band opened a 20-date residency at the state-of-the-art venue just off the Las Vegas Strip.

Eagles are the fourth band to book shows at Sphere, following U2, who played 40 shows in 2023 – including the opening night on September 29 – plus Phish (four shows last April) and Dead & Company, whose residency kicked off in May and climaxed last month.

The Eagles' first night at Las Vegas' Sphere brought more of the huge visuals seen in previous U2 and Dead runs, but was even more about the songbook.

A smaller version of the 360° immersive concert venue is included in plans for The Island, which will also see three Vegas hotels open in the city
