Rogers signed a deal to purchase Bell’s 37.5 percent ownership stake in MLSE, which owns the Maple Leafs and Raptors.

Previously, Bell and Rogers often clashed on business and personnel decisions, leading to delays in major organizational moves. With Bell out, Rogers now has more freedom to drive decisions, possibly signaling a more aggressive approach to team building. The sale is expected to close by mid-2025 pending league approvals.
