McDonald’s first launched the snack wrap in 2006, and the item became a crowd favorite, particularly for the $2 price. The Golden Arches discontinued the Snack Wrap in 2016. In the meantime, other fast food chains are trying to woo McDonald’s fans with their chicken options.

Popeyes is offering customers a free Popeyes Chicken Wrap from July 10 to 13 with a small purchase at participating restaurants in the United States. The promotion comes amid the return of the fan-favorite Snack Wraps at McDonald's on July 10.

After nearly a decade, McDonald's announced the return of the Snack Wrap, one of McDonald's new McCrispy Strips topped with shredded lettuce and shredded cheese, wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. They're available in either Spicy (with a habanero kick) or Ranch (with Ranch dressing and hints of garlic and onion).

The re-debut of McDonald’s Snack Wraps is almost here, and to celebrate, the company is hosting a special countdown celebration at a McDonald’s in West Hollywood on Thursday morning. The event will take place at the McDonald’s located at 1133 North La Brea Ave.
