Meta appears to have leaked the Meta Quest 3S, its rumored budget follow-up to last year’s Quest 3 headset, in its own Windows Meta Quest Link PC software. Spotted by UploadVR, the images posted on Reddit show a VR headset that’s visually a bit of a cross between the Quest 2 and Quest 3.

A new, cheaper, and possibly controller-less virtual reality headset from Meta is on the way, with an image of the device being discovered.

Just weeks remain until Meta is expected to lift the lid on the Quest 3S, the spiritual successor to the multi-million-selling Quest 2 VR headset.

Meta has leaked an image of the supposed Quest 3S via an update to its PC software, showing off what is likely the upcoming cheaper alternative to Quest 3. As first spotted by Reddit user ‘Gary_the_mememachine‘,

The Quest 3 is 40% smaller than the Quest 2 with the Quest 3 featuring pancake optics to allow for higher resolution lenses in smaller spaces. The 3S might feature pancake optics as well, which should make it smaller than the Quest 2. However, it might also have fresnel lenses, which aren't as flat, and feature in the Quest 2.

The latest Meta Quest 3s leak happened from the Oculus Link app, which suggest Meta could launch the VR headset soon.
