John Deere has announced another round of layoffs at its Ottumwa, Iowa plant. In a statement to Brownfield, the company says approximately 75 production employees will be placed on indefinite layoff effective February 7th.

The job cuts are some of the first in 2025 after the company reduced its workforce by the thousands last year in response to slowing demand.

Monday was also the first day out of a job for 112 workers at John Deere Waterloo Works after the layoffs announced in December.
