Election Day voting continues in the high-stakes presidential race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump, which polls show to be incredibly close and is likely to be decided by voters in a handful of battleground states.

Informing many voters choices are likely to be their views of who is best to handle the economy, immigration, abortion and threats to democracy – key issues that have been at the top of Americans' minds in poll after poll.

Election Day is finally here, which means the political ads online and on TV are coming to an end, thankfully. The presidential election is obviously the biggest race of the day across the country, but there are plenty of races in Illinois and in the Springfield area that are worth keeping an eye on and monitoring throughout the day.
