Ceddanne Rafaela hits a walk-off home run to left-center field, scoring Roman Anthony and winning the game for the Red Sox

Red Sox OF Ceddanne Rafaela did more than just blast a walk-off homer against the Rays on Friday, also matching Nomar Garciaparra with a 12-game explosion.

"I've been waiting for this moment since I was watching games with my mom in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007," Rafaela said.

Alex Bregman is back. The Red Sox third baseman was officially activated from the injured list prior to Friday’s game and will bat second in his return against the Tampa Bay Rays. Hunter Dobbins was also activated and will get the start against Tampa Bay’s Drew Rasmussen.

Ceddanne Rafaela hit a go-ahead two-run double as part of a three-run seventh inning and Boston Red Sox earned their season-high seventh straight win, beating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3.

Marcelo Mayer’s opposite-field RBI double cut Boston’s deficit to 3-2. It left his bat at 108.7 mph. Ceddanne Rafaela then connected on a 1-2 slider outside of the zone and dropped it into center field for a go-ahead two-run double to make it 4-3 Red Sox.
