American Ben Shelton said he paid the price for trying to serve too fast after losing 7-6(2) 6-4 6-4 to Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon quarter-finals on Wednesday.
The 2025 Wimbledon marks Sinner's fourth consecutive year at the tournament. He's currently the No. 1 men's singles player worldwide. He defeated Grigor Dimitrov on Monday, after Dimitrov was injured and retired from the match. Sinner also faced an elbow injury, so Wednesday's match will be the first time he's played since his MRI.
