For Reese, the disappointment of landing in ninth place was compounded by the fact she missed Chicago's final six games because of a wrist injury. The Sky went 1-5 during that stretch, and their 89-58 blowout at the hands of Washington was particularly costly.

The countdown is on with less than a week until the WNBA makes its return. All eyes will be on stars such as as Chicago Sky's Angel Reese and Indiana Fever icon Caitlin Clark, as New York Liberty will be looking to defend the Championship.

Don't expect Angel Reese to start firing up threes for the Sky, but coach Tyler Marsh says she will do much more in year two.
