India has won the toss and elected to bowl first in the series-opening T20 against England's cricketers in Kolkata.

England kept the five-match T20 series alive by defeating India by 26 runs in the third match. Despite early sparks from Abhishek Sharma, India's batting faltered. England set a target of 172 runs, and excellent bowling performances from Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse restricted India to 145/9.

England secured a 26-run victory over India in the third T20 International on Tuesday as some sprightly bowling kept the tourists alive in the five-match series against the world champions.

After losing two games of the ongoing T20I series against India, came back well in the third match to claim victory by 26 runs. Being sent into bat first for the third successive instance, the visitors notched up their highest score in the series and defended 171 through a collective bowling effort.

Abhishek Sharma's explosive 79 off 34 balls led India to a seven-wicket win over England in the first T20I. India's disciplined bowling, highlighted by Arshdeep Singh's record-breaking performance, restricted England to 132.

England defeated India by 26 runs in the must-win third T20I to keep their hopes of winning the series alive. After the hosts won the first two games of the five-match series, Jos Buttler’s team knew they had to win in Rajkot and did so thanks to a superb bowling display.
