Kodai Senga gave the ultimate team-first response when asked about Francisco Lindor making an uncharacteristic two errors in Tuesday’s defeat.

Senga placed the Mets in a fast 2-0 hole on Kyle Stowers’ two-run homer in the first inning. Xavier Edwards doubled leading off the game for the Marlins before Senga left a 93-mph four-seamer over the middle of the plate for Stowers, who cleared the fence in right-center.

When the Marlins reached Senga for two runs in the first, he assisted via meatballs. Leadoff man Xavier Edwards doubled on a fastball over the heart of the plate and one pitch later Kyle Stowers crushed a home run on a middle-middle heater.
