Minnesota Vikings pending free agent safety Harrison Smith is heading into the offseason with with bookkeeping to do.

Vikings safety Harrison Smith was fined $45,020 for "impermissible use of the helmet" on a hit against the Rams in the wild card round last week. Smith's helmet appeared to contact the helmet of Rams tight end Tyler Higbee after a reception in the first quarter of last Monday's game.

Not only did the Minnesota Vikings lose brutally to end their season against the Los Angeles Rams, safety Harrison Smith received a fine from the National Football League of $45,020 for unnecessary roughness.
