The Super Bowl is set to kick off at around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Being a lifelong New Orleans Saints fan, I confess that I don’t have a rooting interest in either team and the outcome is of little interest to me.

Approximately 2,000 law enforcement officers will be present for the Super Bowl, New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick told reporters Wednesday. No vehicle traffic will be allowed on the Bourbon Street, and the city will block intersections leading to the most popular areas, Kirkpatrick said.
