Petersen worked the last two seasons with the Colorado Avalanche as skills coach where he worked to enhance and maximize the development of Avalanche and Colorado Eagles players

The Dallas Stars hired Toby Petersen as the next head coach of the Texas Stars, their AHL affiliate, on Monday. Petersen succeeds Neil Graham, who interviewed for the Dallas Stars’ Head Coach opening and was named an assistant on Glen Gulutzan’s staff.
