Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose in electronic trade and the U.S. dollar slumped Monday after a report that President-elect Donald Trump won’t impose new tariffs during his first day of office.

U.S. stock market futures rose as Donald Trump was sworn in a second time as U.S. president as investors bet a series of immediate actions by him would boost the economy, especially in areas like the banking and energy sectors.

S&P 500, Dow, and Nasdaq aren’t trading but futures were up. Hang Seng, Nikkei, FTSE 100 and DAX were also rising.

Dow Jones futures have also gained upside momentum on Inauguration Day. From a big picture point of view, Dow Jones continues to rebound from multi-month lows that were reached on January 13. In case Dow Jones settles above the 43,700 level, it will head towards the resistance, which is located in the 44,000 – 44,100 range.

Trump’s executive orders included overhauls to U.S. trade policy and declaring a national emergency at the southern border.

European and Asian stock markets rose on Monday and bitcoin hit a fresh high as Donald Trump prepared to re-enter office as president of the world's biggest economy.
