Ewers dropped back to pass, but Ohio State’s Jack Sawyer made the play of the night. The senior defensive end blew past his man, strip-sacked Ewers, and scooped up the ball for an 83-yard touchdown, sealing the Buckeyes’ 28-14 victory.

The play—which sealed the 28–14 win for Ohio State and Sawyer said led Ewers to tell him "Screw you!" as the quarterback walked off the field—capped an unbelievable three-game run for Sawyer, and all but sent the Buckeyes to the national championship against Notre Dame on Jan. 20.

Jack Sawyer and Quinn Ewers were roommates during the Texas quarterback's one year in Columbus, and Ewers had a message for Sawyer, who became a Buckeyes hero.
