After more than two decades, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's (LVMPD) Homicide Cold Case Unit has identified a woman whose remains were discovered

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers will not enforce immigration violations, the department emphasized on Tuesday night by posting a department policy on social media.

Las Vegas Metro police identified the female homicide victim as Virgia Mae Jackson, who is believed to have went missing sometime in 1999 or 2000, according to police.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Las Vegas police identified the victim in a 2001 cold case as Virgia Mae Jackson. On Jan. 11, 2001, Metro and Henderson police responded to a report of a human skull located near Pabco and Sunset roads.

After more than two decades, a slain woman whose skeletal remains were found in 2001 has been been identified by Las Vegas police. Virgia Mae Jackson was named in a Metropolitan Police Department news release on Wednesday.
