Adam Jones said he is "ecstatic" to be back with the Orioles as a special advisor to GM Mike Elias and a community ambassador.

Retired All-Star outfielder Adam Jones is rejoining the Baltimore Orioles as a special adviser to GM Mike Elias as well as a community ambassador.

Born and raised in San Diego, Adam Jones naturally grew up as a fan of the Padres. His 14-year MLB career featured stints with Seattle, Baltimore and Arizona, and his pair of seasons played in Japan came for the Orix Buffaloes of Osaka.

The Orioles have officially brought back a long-time fan-favorite in former outfielder Adam Jones as he returns to the team as a special advisor to the general manager as well as a community ambassador.
