Cipla , one of India's largest drugmaker by sales, reported a bigger-than-expected third-quarter profit on Tuesday, helped by strong demand, especially in the key North American market.

Drug major Cipla on Tuesday reported a 49% jump in its December quarter consolidated net profit at Rs 1,571 crore as compared to Rs 1,056 crore reported in the year-ago period. The profit after tax (PAT) was higher than the ET Now poll of Rs 1,

Cipla reported a 48% YoY increase in Q3FY25 consolidated net profit to ₹1,571 crore, driven by growth in Emerging Markets and Europe. Total revenue reached ₹7,073 crore, while One India Business grew 10% YoY.

India's Bajaj Auto reported a smaller-than-expected rise in third-quarter profit on Tuesday, hurt by lower domestic sales of its motorcycles and three-wheelers, while higher sales of its margin-diluting electric scooters also weighed.
