Michael Lorenzen struck out seven in seven dominant innings, Bobby Witt Jr. homered and the Kansas City Royals beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0.

The Royals gave Lorenzen some early run support, too. Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. and designated hitter Salvador Perez hit solo home runs in the second inning. Left fielder John Rave and centerfielder Kyle Isbel added RBI singles in the fifth.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will try to close out their weekend with a series win against the Kansas City Royals this afternoon at Chase Field. Anthony DeSclafani gets the starting nod for Arizona, his first of the season after working exclusively out of the bullpen for the D-Backs.
