ATLANTA (AP) — LeBron James was in attendance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to watch his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes play Notre Dame for the College Football Playoff championship Monday night. The Buckeyes defeated The Irish 34-24 for its first national championship since 2014.

Few things in life are certain, but LeBron James rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes is something that can never be questioned.

At long last, the college football national championship game is here, with the Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish squaring off in the final game of the season with everything on the table.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James named his MVP for Ohio State football in the team's national championship win.

Titled “Chapter of Champions,” the team released its pregame hype trailer, narrated by Ohio’s own and NBA legend LeBron James. “This journey is not so different from our past eight championships,” James began. “They wrote us off, but every time, we kept writing.”

Ohio State is rolling in the College Football Playoff national title game. And no one is enjoying it more than LeBron James. The Akron native, and known Ohio State fan, is in Atlanta for the game between the Buckeyes and Notre Dame for college football's national title.
