President Donald Trump's long-anticipated trade tariffs — which include new import taxes on goods from China, Canada, and Mexico — were made official on Saturday, according to the White House. Trump told reporters earlier in the week that he planned to impose a 25% tariff on goods from Canada and Mexico to strengthen border policy and a 10% tariff on China to crack down on drug imports.

Trump has threatened a 10% levy from 1 February - but his campaign included 60% tariffs against Chinese imports.
