The longtime actor discusses his PBS series about the untold history of Latinos in America, as well as reflects on the adversity he faced early on in his career.

John Leguizamo took the stage at the Hispanic TV Summit, as the session “Reflections on The Making of American Historia ” went down. The three-part series premieres on PBS September 27, and airs on consecutive Fridays.

The Untold History of Latinos” broadcast at 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, on New Mexico PBS, channel 5.1. The second and third episodes will broadcast at 9 p.m. Oct. 4 and Oct. 11. The series will also be available to stream on the PBS app after each broadcast.

The remarks came before the actor introduced Cris Abrego, the first Latino to be elected chair of the Television Academy.
