Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was out of danger, police said on Thursday, following stab injuries received in a scuffle with an intruder at his home in India’s financial capital of Mumbai for which he was undergoing surgery.

An intruder broke into Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's home through an open fire exit. He was confronted by Saif, resulting in a knife attack that injured Saif.

The robber who entered Saif’s residence stabbed him six times after which the actor was taken to Lilavati Hospital by his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, in an auto rickshaw. The incident took place past midnight when the actor was at home with his wife and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan and two sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan.
