The new Home AI features on various SmartThings appliances leverage ambient sensors to suggest different routines throughout your day.

During the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung announced plans to turn its SmartThings appliances into motion sensors. With a continued focus on ‘AI for All’, the SmartThings ecosystem will monitor and gather insights into users' daily habits and automate activities to create a more efficient smart home experience.

The Verge has reached out to Samsung to find out which of its TVs and appliances are currently equipped with these ambient sensors. We also asked if third-party sensors connected to SmartThings can work with the new technology or if it’s limited to Samsung devices at launch. We’ll update this post as we get any new information.
