AAA has released its first-ever "Cruise Travel Forecast." It projects that 19 million Americans plan to take cruises this year, with the majority of vessels heading to the Caribbean.
AAA Texas: 19 million expected to vacation by cruise in 2025
TEXAS (KAUZ) - AAA Texas estimates that nearly 19 million Americans will go on ocean cruises this year. This estimate is a 4.5% increase over 2024 when 18.2 million Americans went on cruise vacations. 2025 is expected to be the third straight year of record cruise passenger volume, according to AAA Texas.

The membership organization projected that 19 million Americans will set sail in 2025 in its first-ever cruise industry forecast. That figure is up from 18.2 million last year and 16.9 in 2023. AAA worked with Tourism Economics on the forecast, which is based on ocean cruises.
