The MLB All-Star break is rapidly approaching, which means it’s almost time for the 2025 MLB T-Mobile Home Run Derby. The annual slugfest will take place at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, July 14 at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

Minnesota Twins star Byron Buxton, a Georgia native, will partake in the 2025 Home Run Derby. Major League Baseball made the announcement on Monday, a week before the Derby is slated to be held at Truist Park, the regular-season home of the Atlanta Braves.

Former Diamond Dawg standouts Brent Rooker and Jurrangelo Cijntje – both first round draft picks – are set to participate in several events during the Midsummer Classic. Rooker will compete in Home Run Derby as well as the All-Star Game itself while Cijntje will pitch in the MLB Futures Game.

The Arizona Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez is not in the 2025 MLB Home Run Derby field, which prompted outrage from baseball fans on social media.

Brent Rooker has established himself as one of the most prolific sluggers in baseball over the past few seasons, so it’s only fitting that his second career All-Star selection will include a spot in the 2025 T-Mobile Home Run Derby.
