The Arizona Cardinals have lost a beloved alum this week as former Pro Bowl and All-Pro left tackle Luis Sharpe passed away. He was 65 years old. A former first-round pick by the Cardinals in 1982, he started 189 games over a 13-year career with the team.

Luis Sharpe, a 3-time Pro Bowl selection widely regarded as the best left tackle in Cardinals franchise history, has died at the age of 65.

"My heart aches tonight, learning that former Arizona Cardinal star OL Luis Sharpe has died,“ he posted on Twitter. ”An NFL Pro Bowler, who struggled with demons, alcohol and drugs, had been clean and sober for years. He died peacefully of heart failure. Godspeed my friend."
