With the new Classic 650, Royal Enfield has unveiled their 6th 650cc motorcycle with more offerings to come in the future.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 stays true to its retro design with a teardrop fuel tank, spoked rims and a neutral riding triangle. All the lighting elements are circular while the main headlamp is an LED unit.

The Classic 650 is powered by the same 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine found in other models within the 650cc range. The bike also features a new digital-analogue instrument console, which includes a gear position indicator and comes standard with the Tripper navigation pod.

I vividly remember my first dalliance with the charming Royal Enfield Classic 350 – our then long-termer when I was just an intern. It was early July, and I was riding to Mumbai from Pune with the monsoon in full swing.

It’s designed for the Classic 350 purists seeking an upgrade and those lamenting the absence of the Classic 500.

The Classic 650 gets the same dash as the Classic 350 which is an analog speedometer with a digital inset. It also has a USB charging port and both the clutch and the brake levers are adjustable units. The bike comes with a split-seat setup where the pillion seat can be detached for a sleeker look.

After many sightings in the past, Royal Enfield has finally revealed the Classic 650 Twin. This is the latest model that Royal Enfield has plonked its much-loved 648cc motor into and its styling is very similar to the company’s bestseller - the Classic 350.
