The Stanford football team did not make its cross-country flight to South Carolina on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s conference matchup at Clemson and instead is scheduled to fly out on Friday morning in part because of Hurricane Helene,

Clemson: The school said it still plans to host Saturday’s game against Stanford at the scheduled 7 p.m. ET kickoff time despite closing campus for Thursday and Friday. Stanford had multiple travel delays and a canceled flight Thursday due to Hurricane Helene. They are scheduled to arrive in South Carolina on Friday.

The ACC matchup between Stanford and No. 17 Clemson is in jeopardy, after Stanford's flight was canceled on Thursday. Per ESPN's Andrea Adelson, Stanford sat on the tarmac on Thursday before the flight to South Carolina was rescheduled. As of Friday, the game has not officially been canceled or postponed.
