Independence Day is always filled with festivities, and one of the many 4th of July traditions that always hold true is fireworks.

A crowd of revelers celebrated Independence Day with fireworks, food and fun at the Ramona July 4th Family Picnic & Fireworks Show. A group of seventh-graders from Olive Peirce Middle School were mostly anticipating spending time with their friends at the start of the event held at the back of their campus.

With the 4th of July on a Friday this year, many are looking forward to a long weekend at the start of the month. Streamers and networks have lined up several specials from musical performances to the annual hot dog eating contest that have become staples in Independence Day programming.
