A gunman killed two women at a church in Kentucky and shot and wounded a state trooper outside an airport on Sunday before police were able to shoot him to death, authorities said. The women were killed at the Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington.

Christine Combs, 34, and Beverly Gumm, 72, were killed Sunday after a gunman opened fire on churchgoers at the Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, the Lexington Police Department said. Both women were members of the church, while two male congregants were also wounded – one critically, according to cops.
