After months of hype surrounding a possible Galaxy S25 Slim model, Samsung has officially teased the S25 Edge.

What will be announced has not finally been decided yet. But certainly US, Korea will be announced (sic). And then that model might be available as a second (wave) launch.

As for what camera hardware the S25 Edge could be packing - Samsung still hasn't given any official specs, but previous S25 Slim rumors have suggested Samsung might use its ISOCELL HP5 (200MP, 1/1.56”) sensor for the wide-angle module, while the ultrawide snapper could be based around an ISOCELL JN5 (50MP, 1/2.76") sensor.

The Galaxy S24 FE that could be thought of as the Slim's predecessor is 8 mm thin, which isn't as thin as the 7.2mm Galaxy S25 that just debuted. One rumor suggests that the goal would be to approximate the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is 5.6mm thin when unfolded, but another number being floated around is 6.4mm.

Samsung spent the bulk of its Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event this year talking about its brand-new AI features. In fact, it took about 30 minutes into the presentation to get to the new S25 line of smartphones before the company once again pivoted to the new AI features packed into the phone.

At the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, Samsung teased and announced its upcoming slim phone called the Galaxy S25 Edge.
