The JBL Charge 5 has great sound quality, long battery life, and impressive durability, making it a top pick for outdoor Bluetooth speakers. Plus, it's a nice step up from previous JBL Charge models.
The JBL Charge 5 uses an optimized long excursion driver, a separate tweeter, and dual JBL bass radiators—engineered to deliver crystal clear sound with a booming bass.
However, I now happily carry the Charge 6 from room to room during the day, whereas the Charge 5 tended to stay put. Sadly, JBL hasn’t equipped the Charge 6 with a mic for speakerphone capability.
The JBL Charge 6 has some big shoes to fill. Its predecessor, the Charge 5, consistently got high marks for its durability, utility, endurance, and of course, its audio performance.
