The Knoxville Police Department is investigating after an attempted car burglary in the Old City ended with a man being shot.
KPD’s Scott Erland said the department looks at other tragedies, like the Antioch High School shooting, to better learn how to keep people save here in Knoxville.
A man was shot early Thursday morning after trying to break into a car in the Old City, according to the Knoxville Police Department. KPD said officers responded to E. Magnolia Avenue around 6:15 a.m.
